Winter Weather Advisory & Important Reminders

With snow expected tonight and tomorrow, residents are reminded that Spruce Up, our landscaper, will plow the community in the event of snowfall greater than 3 inches on the roadways. As outlined in the Community Association Handbook (pg. 11), residents are asked to take responsibility for shoveling out their own cars and walkways, as well as the sidewalks bordering their homes, as these services will not be provided by Spruce Up. It is required that the sidewalks bordering your property be cleared.

Residents should also avoid putting salt on the common area sidewalks that were repaired last fall. Salt will damage the new concrete, and its use would mean that these areas of sidewalk are no longer covered under warranty. If your home borders one of these recently repaired areas, you are asked to use sand or cat litter instead of salt.

For general tips and safety information, see Fairfax County’s Winter Weather Guide. As always, feel free to contact the board at woodlynnedir@gmail.com with any questions pertaining to our community. Thanks for your cooperation, and stay safe!
